Dr Sammy Sharifeh is one of the founders of The Bridge Family Practice, he is originally from Syria, and has been a doctor for 20 years. He did his physician and GP training in Scotland where he lived for 12 years before moving to Australia with his family and has been working in the Mandurah area since 2011. He has a wealth of experience in chronic disease management and is a specialist in skin cancer medicine. He is passionate about providing quality, thorough skin checks, and all aspects of skin cancer treatment including cutting out melanomas, topical treatments and photodynamic therapy.

He holds a Master of Skin Cancer from Queensland University, and is a member of the Skin College Australasia SCCA, where he obtained his Diploma of Skin Cancer Medicine and a Diploma of Dermoscopy. Since 2017 he has been a tutor for other doctors on the college’s advanced courses. He is also a member of the International Dermoscopy Society, IDS and regularly participates in skin cancer meetings around the world.

Dr Sammy also takes special interest in the management of joint pain and arthritis using platelet rich plasma injections.

When not working Dr Sammy dedicates his time to his family; he enjoys travelling, flying small aeroplanes as a sport and is passionate about supporting and advancing the community in the Peel region.
